Dr. Lukas du Plessis spent over two decades developing a breakthrough 5-axis machining center rooted in his PhD research at the University of Pretoria. His technology earned recognition from the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation — but without a digital presence, potential investors and partners had no way to discover or evaluate the project.
We built a fast, professional multi-page website with Astro JS in just two days, paired with Zoho ZeptoMail for reliable transactional email handling on the contact form. The site tells the full story — from academic origins to commercial potential — giving PMT the credibility and visibility it needed.

Investors researching 5-axis machining in South Africa found everyone except PMT.
Dr. du Plessis needed more than a brochure site. He needed a platform that could clearly communicate decades of PhD research, demonstrate the technology’s commercial viability, and provide a direct pipeline for investor and partner inquiries — something that didn’t exist before.

Zoho ZeptoMail was integrated to handle contact form submissions reliably, ensuring every investor inquiry reaches the right team member. We validated performance across multiple devices and screen sizes, confirming sub-200ms load times and zero layout shift. The site now ranks on Google for relevant searches — giving PMT the professional digital presence it needed to compete.
